Hello, gals! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Mine was spent visiting my husband's family and I hosted a big brunch yesterday. Despite the fact I cleaned up and kept all my windows  open for most the day, my house still smells like bacon! Nevertheless, the time spent with family, enjoying the conversation, pastries, and mimosas was worth it!

It's Giveaway Time! Over 250 Followers!!

It's giveaway time again, gals! In honor of having over 250 followers (270 to be exact! Thank you all so much!!) I would like to celebrate with a giveaway! I love doing giveaways! They are so much fun!

Nevertheless, this giveaway will feature a handmade, lacquered tin/container, a handmade, white flower hair clip, and an unused, brand-new-in-the-box, MAC Cosmetics Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo!

The lipstick is a gorgeous, vivid, matte blue-red shade that screams vintage! It makes teeth look so white and the color is the epitome of 40s/50s glamour! The hair flower is wonderful for evenings out, summer nights, and rockabilly events! All you need is a party dress and your dancing shoes! The lacquered tin is made from an Altoids Mints tin that has been cleansed and sterilised. I adorned the outside top with a 50s Jantzen ad along with some vintage lettering.  The tin is perfect for securing bobby pins (kirby grips), ponytail holders, jewelry, and/or travel necessities.

It's Giveaway Time Again! Resin Pendant Duo!

I cannot believe I have over 150 followers now!  Thank you to everyone who reads my little blog! I have been blogging since May 2010 and I have to say that I am having the most fun meeting other vintage-enthusiasts, reading your blogs, sharing comments, and learning more about living the vintage life! Again, thank you all so much!

So, in honor of you all and in celebration of 150+ followers, I am doing another giveaway! This giveaway features two handmade, poured resin pendants made by me! I started making resin jewelry over a year ago and I enjoy it a lot!

The first pendant is a small rectangle (just under two inches long by 1.5 inches wide by 1/4 inch thick ). It is infused with white, opalescent glitter and two shimmery atomic starburst decals :

The second pendant is a heart-shaped piece made with letter beads that read "Aloha."  The heart measures over 2 and 1/2 inches long and is over 2 and 1/2 inches wide and is over 1/4 of an inch thick. I incorporated a glittery pink hibiscus decal in a sea of bright, orange-pink glitter. I think this piece would be perfect for that tiki/Hawaiian-theme party on your schedule! Also, for all you gals going to Viva, imagine wearing this pendant at the tiki pool party! Just put that flower in your hair, don your kamehameha dress or that tiki-print playsuit, and strut your stuff!

Both pendants come with attached sterling silver bails so they can be suspended on a chain. They also have been coated in a high-gloss varnish to better protect the pendants' surface and to give them an extra bit of shine!

We Have a Winner! MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme Giveaway!

This past weekend, I mostly did housework and laundry while he husband worked outside in the yard. The fall temperatures and sunny skies were in full abundance. The cooler air was a welcome change since it had been in the mid-90s the previous week.

Part of me is sad that summer is gone. I already miss the heat and my cotton sundresses yet I feel I am ready for the wool cardigans and tweed coats that accompany falling leaves and shorter days.

It's Giveaway Time! MAC's Penultimate Brow Marker!

This is my second giveaway! The last time, I gave away two sets of atomic-looking, rub-on transfers. Today, I am starting the giveaway for a brand-new, in the box, never-used MAC Penultimate Brow Marker!

When the brow marker debuted this past January, I bought one and believe it or not, I am still using it! These markers were limited edition and so I went back and bought two more. I am keeping an extra for myself and now, the other is up for the giveaway!

I use this marker to maintain my brows daily. I get my brows tinted and waxed every 6 weeks by my amazing esthetician and friend, Gina! My natural eyebrow color is pale, white blond and any vintage girl will tell you; well-defined brows are a MUST for a true vintage look!

The Penultimate marker comes in one shade: a standard, universal shade of brown with chocolate undertones. The color works will most shades of hair and most skin tones. When I had black hair, I used this marker along with a black pencil and the result was lovely!

The marker boasts a felt-tip applicator that can create feathery strokes as well as strong, defined lines of tint:

Once applied, the marker lasts all day! It does not smudge, flake off, rub off, or move an inch! However, when it comes to removal, all you need is cleanser and water!

Atomic Transfers Giveaway! And the Winner is..........

Last week, I presented my very first blog giveaway featuring 2 sheets of rub-on atomic transfers. The giveaway ending yesterday, Sunday the 29th and today we have a winner!

I had a total of 18 entries. I printed the names out and cut them into strips and placed them in my wooden craft box I decorated with leopard print tissue paper and a cut-out of my favorite pin up, Betty Grable!

I closed the lid and gave the box a shake:

Atomic Transfers Giveaway!

Calling all crafty, vintage girls! To thank all of you who follow and comment on my blog, I am doing my first giveaway! I present to you the "Atomic Transfers Giveaway!"

I have posted two projects using these sheets. Each sheet has about 16-17 different transfers. You can apply them on glass, ceramic, wood, plastic, tile, and mirrors.  With these transfers, decorating your vintage home is a snap! No need to visit the antique mall or browse Etsy! Now you can make atomic wares yourself!

The giveaway will include the two sheets pictured. There is a wooden applicator included and directions are on the back of each package.
